When you look in the mirror, do you see a dull and tired complexion? Having radiant and glowy skin is considered an asset since having beautiful skin certainly makes one look more well-groomed and attractive. However, life sometimes takes a toll on us… and our skin ends up paying for it.

Nonetheless, with some effort and guidance, it is still possible to achieve the bright and glowy complexion we’ve always yearned for. Here are some tips that will help you:

Exfoliate dead skin regularly

Our skin cells has a turnover cycle that increases as we age. When dead skin cells pile up, light gets diffused from our complexion, leaving us with dull-looking skin. By gently exfoliating our skin regularly (once or twice a week is good enough), dead skin cells (as well as dirt and makeup) are cleared away, thus leaving us with fresh layer of skin that is more healthy and radiant.

Apply a honey mask

A natural moisturiser, honey contains antioxidants that soften premature lines and wrinkles caused by a lack of moisture in the skin. Use a cotton ball to dab some honey onto the dry areas of your skin. Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes before washing off with water. Your skin should feel clean, moisturised and soft after this treatment!

Use a home facial sauna

Steaming your face with a home facial sauna can open up pores and encourage any toxins to surface so you can clean them away easily. The steam also draws your blood to the surface and helps to boost circulation in your face. Doing this once a week keeps your face clean, hydrated and supple.

Drink tomato juice

Instead of reaching for a can of cola, why not reach for a glass of refreshing tomato juice instead? Tomato juice is one of the best natural ways to achieve a healthy and radiant complexion. Drinking this juice on a regular basis can brighten up a dull complexion and also reduce marks, scars and blemishes resulting from acne.

Refrigerate your skincare products

It isn’t a well-known fact, but refrigerating your skincare products actually makes them more effective. Other than the cooling sensation, applying a cold eye cream and moisturiser helps to eliminate any puffiness and freshen up your skin.
